The main takeaways I got from this event (regarding final film and working in the industry) were:

  • It’s common for it to take a year or more to build up a regular freelance practice
  • When you have your first few jobs you should ask a lot of questions
  • There’s a lot of work for 2D FX animators (So I should learn more of it as I enjoy it)
  • Cut 45 seconds off your film, this will help you make it the best you can

I was in the process of setting up an account on Mandy.com before I realised you have to pay. There is a free trial version which I will use once I finish the course.
